National Impact Evaluation report
Ten years on since they were first established, the nine English Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) have been commended for quadrupling their return on investment. According to an independent report published on 31st March 2009 by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) the RDAs have generated over £23 billion in economic benefits for their regions.

A range of case studies were produced by the RDAs and submitted as part of the evaluation process. These aimed to demonstrate the wider strategic impact of the RDAs on people, places and businesses that is harder to quantify and could not be captured by figures alone.
