RDAs collectively provide advice to help central government understand the needs and priorities of England’s regions. Each year they provide expert advice for the Chancellor’s annual Budget, they have advised on regional funding and spending priorities and, through a lead role system, provide policy expertise across the full range of economic development-related Government activity.
