Independent Performance Assessments
In late 2006, the National Audit Office carried out an audit of the performance of each RDA. The purpose was to assess the organisational performance of each RDA, both as a strategic driver of their region's economic development and in their policy development with central government departments.
The IPA results reflect well on the RDAs’ performance with all performing highly or well with recognition of their successes and commitment to England’s regions. Each RDA is addressing those areas where the IPAs suggest improvements can be made.
